It’s hard to believe that Jodi - the Bloggers with heart and soul; is one year old, if you want to trawl back to the first posts that we put on here it was a Valentines Special. It was a proud moment for us as we watched the reader stats rising and our following growing, in fact we are still amazed at how many of you do watch our blog. Times have changed though and the set up has altered, Tamara tends to do most of the modelling and photography and I will add the text to the document. A lot of the time I try to keep it light and amusing telling a story about what and why Tamara is wearing a particular outfit and other times I try to keep it brief just explaining an item. Sometimes it doesn’t require a lot of words, mainly because it won’t need much of an introduction: for example hair or skin. Some of you will have noticed a serious tone to what I will write, this is mainly because I feel a need to inject my own cynicism to the posting. If this is seen as offensive then I do sincerely apologise because that is not my intention. We will however continue to bring you the best in fashion reporting from Second Life and we will continue to at least try and be objective in our reporting. Meanwhile dear blog watcher, good hunting and happy shopping and we will see you in another year xx. Colin
sf Design Mens Silk Shirt
I know it’s not often I personally exhibit my self on these pages, this time however I felt the need to show you my latest purchase from sf Design. It is a silk shirt for men and in my opinion it’s great there are four colours: blue, gold, light burgundy and the one I am wearing is sage and it looks great for a night out on the pull (not that I need to go on the pull). One final note the collars and cuffs are either, modify or have a resizer script so you can get that “just so” fit

Jodi – Bloggers with heart & soul
So another year ends and a new one is about to begin, I won’t say it has been a wonderful year for all of us but for some it has been better than others. We have all had our triumphs and challenges this past year and there may be more to come, for my next year and that of Tamaras’ we have one of our biggest challenges to come in the next few months. However at the end of the rainbow is a crock of gold and I intend to be sharing that with the woman I have grown to love more and more as the days go by, both in SL and RL. Tamara has agreed to share my RL with me from the middle of this year and I hope it will be the new beginning we both need. As for all our friends in SL, the designers, our readers and others that just look to see what we have been doing we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy new year and we do hope all the dreams you have for 2011 come true and you prosper with love and strength. We will be here as usual bringing you the best in fashion and ideas, so don’t touch that dial. peace and Love to you all. Tamara & Col xx
Tamara and myself would like to take this opportunity to wish all our readers, friends, fellow bloggers and all the designers that have made blogging a pleasure and joy over the past year a very merry Christmas and a prosperous new year. We hope 2011 brings you the best that both RL and SL has to offer and we will see you all and we do hope we can give you as much pleasure in our blogs as we have found in bringing SL fashion to you. Love Tam and Col xx
“Why do we do this?” I was asked by one of our followers recently, well to be honest it happened quite by accident. Tamara was first approached to do a fashion blog by a friend, as time went by we started our own and i got involved mainly by helping to find locations for various shoots. At that time we were running a small photographic firm and doing a lot of our pictures to post on flickr, during the run up to Valentines day 2010 we posted our first blogs on Jodi with Valentines specials. After that we just started to post more and more, eventually Tamara started to drift away from the friends blog and Jodi started to grow. I was doing less and less of the photographic work and started to add commentaries to the blog, as our relationship grew so too did the blog and the commentaries turned into short stories. After we lost our studio, after a dear friend left SL we worked from a sandbox and used locations we had discovered over time during our travels. Even then the blog kept getting bigger, I was adding more stuff as we kept working. Our home at that time was purely imaginary but it was real to us, the one thing missing was somewhere we could work from that gave us privacy and maybe our own location we could adapt over time. Now we have a plot of land again, which is open to the public to use and to enjoy the scenery and take their own pictures. We now have a studio on a sky box which gives us a private area to work from and also to be alone if we so wish, Hector (a golden labrador) roams the garden chasing rabbits and the odd imsomniac squirrel and we still take pictures for pleasure as well as for the blog. So dear blog watcher when you see comments on the blog that either praise or bury a designer it is by me and not Tamara, I do get a little over critical and i do try to keep my criticism to a comment that hurts a little less than it might otherwise do. Please carry on watching our blog and I will try and entertain more with what we have been doing.
I really do have a pet fashion hate and I am likely to upset a lot of people here, so before I proceed please allow me to apologise. THIGH HI BOOTS! What on earth possesses a young woman of reasonable fashion sense to dress like a character from a Julia Roberts movie? They look cheap, tarty and frankly ridiculous. Not to mention the fact it makes the wearer look like she is about to go trout fishing, they are ok if you do work in the oldest profession but not if you are going out for everyday activities. That said I think I can roll off the top of my head some very good designers that sell quality boots in Second Life, I will admit however that they are quite expensive but you do get what you pay for. So come on ladies lets start thinking about the image you are giving out and start looking decent in public, if you do have any comments or queries then drop us a line, either in world or by leaving comments on this blog.
Ok I want to thank everybody that has made a comment on this blog, first off yes I do agree the picture was a little over the top. Secondly: I was not trying to tell people what to wear and what not to wear, if I gave that impression then I apologise. This blog was based on my personal opinion and was not intended to influence anybodies decision about the content of their wardrobe, my intent was to form a reasoned debate regarding fashion and what people like to wear. I did know right from the beginning that I would possibly upset or even anger some of our readers and fellow bloggers, do feel free to continue posting your comments regarding this subject and please feel free to continue perusing our blog at your leisure. Once again this was intended to provoke a discussion your opinions matter to us as does you love of fashion in SL.
Thank you once again Col & Tams
“Go Grease lightning we’re gonna burn the quarter mile!” the nice man from AOHARU has released a range of leather blouson jackets, all in a range of colours. This time round I’m wearing the black blouson, soooooo I looked at it and had the idea that this was probably inspired by the 50′s biker jacket. The jacket itself is complete with a denim shirt and makes it look absolutely great just the thing for the malt shop in the middle of town
