Jodi – Tammy’s Digits – Berry’s Blogger Challenge

Berry’s Blogger Challenge

  • How has the introduction of mesh affected your SL, if at all? Are you open to wearing mesh often or do you still shy away from it?

I do love mesh –> when it is done by someone who knows how to do it. Unfortunately you get “designers” who throw mesh items out on the market just for the sake of it and for keeping up with the latest trends. But honestly, when you can’t work it, don’t do it.
I sometimes get feedback from people when I wear mesh that they can’t see it and I’m just covered in big blobs on their screens. I do understand that this is annoying, but really not my problem.
So, whenever I find a well done piece of mesh clothing I certainly do buy and wear it.

  • Have you changed your shape to fit into mesh? If so, did you go bigger or smaller?

Luckily my shape seems to work for most of the mesh items I get. Rarely I need to shrink my breasts. But as my ava is on the smaller breasted side anyway I normally get “the girls” into mesh tops. I’m with Berry and normally turn out to be something between S and M.
As I wear my bum a bit bigger I must admit I sometimes miss a well shaped bum with mesh trousers or skirts. They quite often turn out to be flat bummed.

  • Do you think the mesh deformer will resolve a lot of the issues people seem to have with mesh and will it encourage you to wear mesh more often, if you don’t already?

Mesh normally works fine for me as it is. So I’m not really bothered by the mesh deformer. We’ll see what happens when LL implements it.

Jodi – One Year On … A big thank you from Tammy & Colin

It’s hard to believe that Jodi –  the Bloggers with heart and soul; is one year old, if you want to trawl back to the first posts that we put on here it was a Valentines Special. It was a proud moment for us as we watched the reader stats rising and our following growing, in fact we are still amazed at how many of you do watch our blog. Times have changed though and the set up has altered, Tamara tends to do most of the modelling and photography and I will add the text to the document. A lot of the time I try to keep it light and amusing telling a story about what and why Tamara is wearing a particular outfit and other times I try to keep it brief just explaining an item. Sometimes it doesn’t require a lot of words, mainly because it won’t need much of an introduction: for example hair or skin. Some of you will have noticed a serious tone to what I will write, this is mainly because I feel a need to inject my own cynicism to the posting. If this is seen as offensive then I do sincerely apologise because that is not my intention. We will however continue to bring you the best in fashion reporting from Second Life and we will continue to at least try and be objective in our reporting. Meanwhile dear blog watcher, good hunting and happy shopping and we will see you in another year xx. Colin

Jodi – Colins having a moan

“I haven’t a thing to wear”

Doesn’t Tamara look great in everything she wears? I do so wish the same could be said for me though, Ok I’m a man and yes I don’t like shopping but at the end of the day I do need to wear clothes. I don’t have a particular taste in clothes but I do like to look at least pleasing to the eye and I do like to feel comfortable in what I wear, so why on earth is there nothing for guys out there? A fellow blogger went so far as to publish his own views on that http://shoppingcartdisco.com/fashion/please/

To be honest with you I wouldn’t go so far as to wear something like that but you get the point (at least I hope you do)? I dont like to wear leather pants like some medallion wearing 80’s porn star or a middle aged rock singer but, I would like to look good for my lady when we go somewhere and lets it put it this way there are so many places one can dance now a days in SL, last count there were 20957574643 clubs in Second Life all of which cater for the vampire or lycan or rock head or the repressed medallion wearing porn star wannabe. Having said that even the ones mentioned above still need to be clothed or shod but there seems to be an abundance of designers to cater for that, I don’t like to visit the free stores like some hard up noobie or shop in the small vendor stores next to the “Kitten Lick Club” I want quality clothing at an affordable price without looking like I fell out of a sci fi or porn stars convention. Come on Designers give us more, I know there are those out there doing their darndest but they need a little bit of help. Or is that too much of a challenge for you?

Jodi – A New Day, A New Year

So another year ends and a new one is about to begin, I won’t say it has been a wonderful year for all of us but for some it has been better than others. We have all had our triumphs and challenges this past year and there may be more to come, for my next year and that of Tamaras’ we have one of our biggest challenges to come in the next few months. However at the end of the rainbow is a crock of gold and I intend to be sharing that with the woman I have grown to love more and more as the days go by, both in SL and RL. Tamara has agreed to share my RL with me from the middle of this year and I hope it will be the new beginning we both need. As for all our friends in SL, the designers, our readers and others that just look to see what we have been doing we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy new year and we do hope all the dreams you have for 2011 come true and you prosper with love and strength. We will be here as usual bringing you the best in fashion and ideas, so don’t touch that dial. peace and Love to you all. Tamara & Col xx
